Kolkata Knight Riders won the 17th edition IPL 2024 trophy by eight wickets (57 balls left) against Sunrishers Hyderabad (SRH) in the final on Sunday. Once more Virat Kohli holds the Orange Cap award for Scoring 741 runs this season. The Highest wicket-taker from the Punjab Kings’ Harshal Patel holds the Purple Cap Award by 24 wickets this Season.
On May 26, Sunday Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR) earned the IPL 2024 trophy by showing great playing efforts in this full season and getting the Trophy in the final against the Sunrisers, KKR won the trophy after 10 years for the third time in their history While the Sunrisers won for IPL only One time.
As expected, KKR’s star all-rounder Sunil Narine claimed the Player of the Tournament Award (Most Valuable Player of the Season) for his all-round brilliance, after scoring 488 runs at a strike rate of 180.74 and taking 17 wickets at a 6.69 economy rate.
Royal Challengers Bangaluru’s hero topped in the Orange Cap race with 741 runs in 15 innings, Second-highest run hitter Ruturaj Gaikwad needs more than 158 runs to own the Orange Cap. Virat getting an Orange Cap second time in his IPL career with RCB who finished 4th Position in this IPL 2024.
Also, With Punjab Kings’ Harshal Patel winning the Purple Cap with 24 wickets in 14 innings, KKR’s Spinner Varun Chakravarthy needed more than 3 wickets to win the Purple Cap. Nitish Reddy is the Emerging Player of the Season award with Sunrisers Hyderabad for scoring more than 300 runs this season.
