According to sources, Chennai Super Kings(CSK) wicket-keeper and batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni is set to travel to London to treat his muscle tear injury. He will decide his IPL future after his recovery.
CSK was knocked out of the IPL 2024 Playoffs after a defeat against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).
The defending champions suffered a 27-run defeat at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Dhoni scored 25 off 13 deliveries but was dismissed in the last over of the run chase.
MS Dhoni’s Surgery
According to IANS, the veteran will set his future after his surgery in London.
“Dhoni might visit London for his muscle tear surgery which impacted him during the 17th season of the cash-rich league. He is not fit but wants to play cricket and he will decide about his future course of action after treatment. He is likely to recover in five to six months,” sources told IANS.
Chasing 219 runs, Rachin Ravindra scored 61 and Ravindra Jadeja remained unbeaten on 42, but their efforts were not enough to secure a victory for their team.
With CSK’s disappointing performance, fans and experts speculated that it could be the end for MS Dhoni. However, the star cricketer refused to disclose anything about his future.
